JPGMAFIA has announced two headlining gigs alongside his appearances at Listen Out and Listen In festival. He will be playing at Melbourne’s Forum and Sydney’s UNSW Roundhouse.
Known affectionately by fans as “Peggy”, the cult-favourite experimental rapper will be touring on the back of his most recent album, Scaring The Hoes, a collaboration with the Detroit-based alt rapper Danny Brown.

Produced entirely by JPEGMAFIA and released in March 2023, Scaring the Hoes was his most ambitious project yet. Fusing jazz, hip hop, punk, and electronic garnished with JPEGMAFIA’s signature dark sense of humour, the album received widespread critical acclaim and saw the two artists take off on a massive co-headling tour across North America.
After learning production and sampling at age 15, JPEGMAFIA quickly developped his own unique style, bringing together elements of DIY and internet culture with a ruthless, firey energy. He began to gain notoriety with his sophomore release, Veteran, which was picked up by Pitchfork and the Fader, among others.
In May, he was announced as part of the stacked Listen Out lineup, alongside Ice Spice, Skrillex, Lil Uzi Vert, Kenny Beats and more. With dates in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney as well as a slightly reduced Listen In festival in Adelaide, the travelling music festival is one of Australia’s hip-hop and electronic highlights.
A founding father of experimental hip-hop and a prolific songwriter and producer, JPEGMAFIA is a force to be reckoned with. Known for his rowdy live show and chaotic stage presence, he is not to be missed when he comes to Australia.
