Yours and Owls has unveiled its 2026 lineup, confirming a return to Wollongong this October with a bill that stretches across genres, generations and the city itself as Gong Christmas once again takes hold.

Across two days, the festival will open on Flagstaff Hill, where the foreshore sets the tone for a sunlit coastal gathering, before spilling into the CBD on day two. This year, Wollongong’s streets, venues and laneways become part of the stage, reframing the Steel City as a walkable, city-wide music experience.

At the top of the bill, BBNO$ makes his only Australian appearance, bringing a catalogue of viral anthems and irreverent pop-rap maximalism that has made him one of the internet’s most enduring provocateurs. He is joined by G Flip, whose evolution from triple j Unearthed alumni to global pop force has been marked by confessional songwriting and high-impact, emotionally charged live performance.

Australian indie mainstays Ball Park Music return with their unmistakable blend of wistful lyricism and widescreen hooks, while DMA’s continue their long arc from Sydney cult favourites to international stages, carrying their Britpop-leaning sound into ever larger rooms.

Elsewhere, Genesis Owusu is set to bring his signature fusion of theatre and controlled chaos, a live show that has become one of the most distinctive in contemporary Australian music. Hiatus Kaiyote arrive in full technicolour form, their experimental neo-soul language continuing to ripple far beyond Melbourne’s creative underground.

The electronic and club spectrum is equally prominent, with Luude delivering high-intensity drum and bass reworks built for mass movement, while PNAU return as long-standing architects of Australian dancefloor euphoria.

On the more introspective edge of the lineup, Middle Kids bring their emotionally precise indie rock, and Tkay Maidza continues her run as one of the country’s most dynamic live performers, moving fluidly between rap, pop and club-driven intensity. The return of The Drones adds a heavier, more uncompromising counterpoint, a reminder of the band’s enduring reputation for confrontation and catharsis.

Beyond the music, the 2026 edition expands its footprint across Wollongong, with day two activating the CBD in full. Music will move through established venues and unexpected corners alike, encouraging audiences to drift between stages as the city itself becomes part of the programming.

Local food, beverage and arts partners will again sit alongside the music offering, reinforcing the festival’s ongoing connection to place.
