Isn’t Victoria looking rather luscious at the moment? Winter is turning our lawns into pillowy beds of green and vegetation is thriving!
You know where it will be green in November? At Mt Duneed Estate as the beloved A Day On The Green returns to their rolling hill. Millennials are losing their mind over the offering (yes – I include myself in that statement) as a triangle of 90’s RnB and hip hop royalty fuse together for occasion. An extension of their national headline tour, Boyz II Men will stop into the region to serenade with their heartwrenching ballads ‘I’ll Make Love To You’, ‘On Bended Knee’, and personal favourite, ‘End of the Road’. The fists will be clenched, the eyes will be closed, and the emotions will be real for this one. At least to lighten the mood, Salt-N-Pepa will be there to push the limits and talk about sex, and Bell Biv DeVoe will unbottle some poison. Yes it will be one sweet day on the green!
Also in big tours making their way to Australia at the other end of the genre spectrum are fellow 90’s staples Bush and Swervedriver. We caught up with respectively frontmen Gavin Rossdale and Adam Franklin ahead of their long flights. There’s also chats with Taasha Coates of The Audreys, Andrew Dooris of The Jungle Giants, and regional Victorian locals Steffii and RiciRiccardo.
In food we head to Ballarat’s Babae to sneak in the kitchen with executive chef Roy Rosenfeld, and spotlight Leopold Sporties, Tempo Kitchen & Bar, Here and Now Lounge, and Winter’s Cafe.
