So The Weekly’s wrapped for another year and it’s hard not to feel a little disappointed. Wait, no – not disappointed that it’s over, disappointed that this year felt like nothing more than a retread of last year, and last year wasn’t all that impressive either.

Hello again, everyone! Hope you’re all having a swell time – at the time of writing this, I’ve just emerged from an assignment-related social exile, and there’s nothing quite like a few days’ worth of writing (or, more likely, pretending to write) about risk management to make you long for a good comic. Well, if you didn’t manage to get to Derek and the Champ’s gig at Sleepy Hollow Blues Club, you missed out big time. They kicked off with Time is Tight from Booker T and the MGs and, believe it or not, it just got better from there. You’ll just have to keep an eye on their Facebook page for the next gig.
