Cheap Trick, with a staggering 5,000 performances under their belt spanning four decades and a jaw-dropping 20 million records sold worldwide, are certifiably one of the most influential classic rock groups of the past half-century. As they gear up to celebrate their 50th anniversary next year, the lineup featuring guitarists Rick Nielsen, bassist Tom Petersson, and drummer Bun E. Carlos, alongside Robin Zander, is set to bring the house down.
The current lineup, including Rick Nielsen’s son Daxx Nielsen on drums and Robin Zander’s son Robin Taylor Zander, has kept the flame alive. Hits like ‘The Flame’, ‘Dream Police’, ‘I Want You To Want Me’, and ‘Surrender’ have etched Cheap Trick into the annals of America’s rock ‘n’ roll royalty. Their 20th studio album, ‘In Another World’, dropped in April 2021.
Joining Cheap Trick on this sonic odyssey are the ever-popular The Angels, with former drummer Nick Norton now taking centre stage. The Angels, described by American critic David Fricke as “a guaranteed great time anywhere,” will unleash their catalogue of classics that resonate in the hearts of every Australian rock fan.
