 I Thought The Altitude Would Make It Worth The View is a product of the famed Hollywood’s EastWest Studios, where the band worked with 11-time Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, The White Stripes) to craft a career-defining catalogue highlight. The band also brought in friends Jay Watson (GUM, Tame Impala) and G Flip to work on tracks with them and it shows!

Whilst debut Midnight Zoo packed the grit and the grunge, this sophomore album opts for refined playing and polished production as the band explore the expanses of their indie sound.

‘Breathe’ is a showcase of this move as they create a bubbling, blissful world through their instrumentation. ‘Loose Change’ is perhaps the biggest nod to the band’s signature sound, whilst ‘COOLER’ taps into the breezier coastal charm of DICE. That casual daydreaming thread continues on ‘Footprints’, ‘Call Me For A Good Time’, and the softer ‘Stars’. It echoes the reflective nature of the lyrics, made for slow road trips along a coastline.
