It’s that time of year again, when the giant globes take over the outdoor seating area of Geelong’s premier hotel, Novotel Hotel and it’s on-site restaurant, Tempo Kitchen & Bar.

For the past few weeks, Dome Dining has been bringing a little Christmas magic to Geelong’s waterfront, transforming the outdoor dining area into a cosy winter wonderland as part of Tastes of Greater Geelong. But with July quickly coming to an end, the festive experience is now entering its final weeks — meaning there’s only a short window left to step inside one of Tempo’s magical Christmas-themed domes.

Designed to capture all the charm of the festive season (without having to wait until December), this year’s Dome Dining experience invites guests to settle into their own private heated globe, complete with twinkling lights, cosy winter touches and plenty of Christmas cheer.

Overlooking the stunning surrounds of Geelong’s waterfront, the domes provide the perfect setting for a memorable winter outing. Whether it’s a family celebration, a date night with a difference or a catch-up with friends, Dome Dining offers a unique way to enjoy great food and festive feels while soaking up the views of Corio Bay.

There’s an experience to suit every occasion, with guests able to start the day with a festive Breakfast Dome Dining experience for $40 per person, enjoy a relaxed Lunch experience for $50 per person, indulge in a decadent Christmas High Tea for $79 per person, or make an evening of it with Dinner for $89 per person. The dinner experience also includes exclusive Christmas in July winter additions available only throughout July, adding an extra touch of festive flavour to the waterfront setting.

At the heart of the experience is Tempo Kitchen & Bar’s menu, a waterfront favourite known for its seasonal menu, welcoming atmosphere and sweeping views across Corio Bay. With a focus on fresh produce, creative cocktails, boutique wines and craft beers, Tempo is the kind of place that works just as well for a long lunch as it does for a special evening out.
