In a celebration of two and a half decades of rock history, Jason Singh, the original founding member and lead singer of the legendary Australian rock band Taxiride, is gearing up to take fans on an epic musical journey with the announcement of the ’25 Years of Taxiride’ tour.
Kicking off at the Shamrock Hotel in Echuca on 7 January 2024, the tour will see Singh visit Victorian hotspots like Ocean Grove, Berwick, Bright, Meredith, St Kilda and Main Ridge across January, March and April, as well as other spots in New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia.

This milestone tour is more than just a series of performances; it’s a nationwide spectacle promising an electrifying showcase of Taxiride’s incredible 25-year career and their iconic double platinum debut album “IMAGINATE.” From their formation in 1997, Jason Singh and Taxiride have left an indelible mark on Australian music, captivating audiences with infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
Known for chart-topping hits and numerous accolades, including the most played song on Australian radio in 2002, “Creepin’ Up Slowly,” Taxiride’s music has stood the test of time. From the debut album “IMAGINATE” to subsequent releases like “GARAGE MAHAL,” “AXIOMATIC,” and “ELECTROPHOBIA,” the band has consistently delivered unforgettable music that has resonated with fans across the nation.
Jason Singh, renowned for his powerhouse vocals, has been the driving force behind Taxiride’s success and legacy. Having toured the world and played sold-out shows, including two at Wembley Stadium, Taxiride earned its place among Australia’s premier live bands, sharing the stage with superstars like Tina Turner, Lionel Ritchie, John Fogerty, and Matchbox 20.
Expressing his excitement about the upcoming tour, Jason Singh said, “It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since I started this incredible journey. This tour is for the amazing fans – a chance to celebrate the music that has brought us all together and the incredible memories we’ve made along the way.”
Fans can anticipate a mesmerizing journey through Taxiride’s career, revisiting the sound that made them a household name. From the Top 5 hits “Get Set” and “Everywhere You Go” to the iconic “Creepin’ Up Slowly,” the setlist promises to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
In addition to Taxiride’s success, Jason Singh has achieved solo acclaim with multiple top 10 ARIA Club Dance Hits and four solo albums. His solo ventures include supporting international icons like John Farnham, Rick Astley, Mariah Carey, and joining Hanson on their Middle Of Everywhere World Tour.
