Forte Magazine Issue 767

**DRUM ROLL**

In a shake-up of Jerry Lee Lewis proportions, Forte Magazine is now a solo act! That’s right, we’ve gone out on our own as an entirely independent magazine, and that’s not even the best part. I am also extremely proud to announce that Forte is now a locally Geelong owned and operated magazine! It’s brave, it’s bold, and it’s bloody exciting!!

What does this mean for our humble street press and digital platform? Since 1991, Forte Magazine has been the premier publication for delivering music, arts, and culture content to readers across regional Victoria. Recent times have seen the magazine expand, adapting to include more of the things you love, with additions of food, drink, lifestyle, and travel content making their home in our pages. As an independent magazine, the limit does not exist. Expect more of the content you know and love, and shiny additions to our Forte features all appearing on our new and improved website and in our bigger print magazine. It’s a massive undertaking but we’re not scared of a little hard work to make the dream work.

Someone who knows that sentiment all too well is our first cover artist – the biggest voice in Australian music, Mr. Jimmy Barnes. Speaking to the story of the hardworking Australian, Barnesy has championed the working class through blue collar, badge-of-honour belters for 40 years. We dive into the upcoming anniversary celebrations of his landmark album. To honour For The Working Class Man, our August issue is a curation of Australian stories. Australian musicians, artists, designers, restaurants, producers of food, and townships are at the forefront of this issue, showcasing the continued strive for greatness in our glorious country.

Thanks for sticking with us and joining us on this new adventure! This is for you, folk of regional Victoria.

I hope we passed the audition.

– Tammy Walters | Editor in Chief
