WIN: We’re giving away tickets to see Newton Faulkner play in Geelong
Don't miss your chance to see this megastar up close and personal!
‘Dream Catch Me’ captured a generation of hopefuls back in 2008, leading to the name Newton Faulkner becoming known. Since then Faulkner has grown to global stardom as a multi-platinum artist and celebrated songwriter with a voice that would melt ice. Last month, Faulkner found a new space to occupy with his new body of work.
Newton Faulkner’s eighth studio album OCTOPUS marks a bold new chapter for the multi platinum selling singer songwriter and is his most adventurous work to date. Over five years in the making, the album signals a refreshed sense of artistic freedom, blending influences from funk, R and B, soul and Latin grooves. Swapping his trademark acoustic guitar for a distortion charged Hofner violin bass, Faulkner unlocks a new songwriting approach that fuels standout tracks including Alright Alright Alright. Rich in collaboration, OCTOPUS features contributions from Lissie, Los Bitchos and Bloom Twins, bringing new textures and energy to his sound. It is a record grounded in creative reinvention, heartfelt reflection and a renewed passion for making music.
Now Faulkner is heading to Australia for a debut national headline tour, heading to theatres, venues, and stages to perform to intimate audiences. The tour touches down in Geelong, playing Barwon Club Hotel on Friday 17 April.
To celebrate his regional stop, we’re giving 2 lucky Forte Magazine readers double passes to attend the show.
