Summertime has officially found its spiritual home in the Macedon Ranges. From 9 to 31 January 2026, Summertime Fling returns with a month-long celebration of wine, food, music and easygoing summer bliss. The festival brings together more than 40 wineries across the region, all opening their doors for four weekends of long lunches, tasting adventures, and golden-hour magic. It’s the kind of January escape where the only rule is to slow down, pour something cold and let the countryside work its charm.

Summertime Fling spreads its events across the entire region, making it perfect for spontaneous day trips, relaxed weekend roadies or a whole month of vineyard hopping. The vibe is simple: enjoy cool-climate wines among rolling hills, meet the makers behind the bottles and rediscover how good summer can feel when you swap the city for crisp country air.
Across January, wineries will serve up an ever-changing lineup of experiences, from Friday night drinks at Paramoor and aperitivo sessions at Lyons Will Estate to lazy Summer Sips afternoons at Hunter-Gatherer, complete with lawn lounging, woodfired pizza and good company. Film lovers can settle in under the stars with a Moonlight Cinema screening of Crazy, Stupid, Love at Mount Monument, while wine nerds can dive deeper with heritage tastings at Curly Flat or a terroir-focused session at Dilworth and Allain.
The region is also leaning into the social side of summer with long lunches at Paramoor, Hesket Estate and Lyons Will Estate, plus live music days at Kyneton Ridge and Wombat Forest Vineyard where the tunes are as smooth as the pours. For something playful, Lyons Will will host Not All Heroes Wear Capes, a fun tasting featuring winemakers from across the region. And if you want the classic vineyard experience, Hanging Rock Winery’s Summer Sunday Session brings wine, food trucks and sweeping views that look like they were made for long, lazy afternoons.
All of this unfolds across a region known for its boutique producers, elegant chardonnays, refined sparkling wines and award-winning pinot noir. Most wineries are family-owned and proudly small scale, which means the bottles you fall for here are often the kind you won’t find anywhere else.
Summertime Fling has one mission. Bring people together, put great wine in their hands and let the days stretch out the way summer days should.
