Urban Wine Walk is heading to Ballarat, North Melbourne, and Northcote this winter

The Winter Series will see the global vino adventure hit up 17 cities across Australia and New Zealand.

Calling all wine lovers! The beloved wine crawl is back to beat the winter chill with a rich red. The ultimate wine-lovers day our, Urban Wine Walk returns to Australia and New Zealand for a seventeen date venue crawl. Kicking things off up north in Toowoomba on Saturday 18 July, the event series will hit up Leederville WA, Cronulla NSW, North Melbourne VIC, Highgate WA, Napier NZ, Darwin NT, New Plymouth NZ, Cairns QLD, West End QLD, Northcote VIC, Paddington QLD, Townsville QLD, Nelson NZ, Ballarat VIC, Wollongong NSW, and Christchurch NZ across the month of August.

In Victoria, the Northcote walk will happen on Saturday 1 August, North Melbourne event will run on Saturday 8 August, and the Ballarat Urban Wine Walk will take over on Saturday 29 August. Each pop-up will run from 12-4pm for four hours of pouring and palette testing.

The Urban Wine Walk has become a beloved calendar event, turning the existing, lively hospitality destinations within inner-city settings, and turning them into a adventure with exceptional wines.

More than 300 wine lovers will take to the streets for this self-guided tasting adventure, exploring each location at their own pace while discovering local drops, meeting the makers behind the labels and soaking up the buzzing atmosphere along the way. Guests can kick things off at their chosen venue with something to eat before wandering between stops, glass in hand, uncovering hidden gems and tasting standout wines throughout the afternoon.

The Northcote lineup features a mix of iconic venues paired with outstanding winemakers. Sip Whistler Wines at Francesca’s Bar, enjoy Blood Moon Wines at Joe’s Shoe Store, discover MDI Wine at Northcote Social Club, sample Valentine Wines at Peacock Inn Hotel, try DACK Wines at Purple Emerald Lounge Bar, explore Pacha Mama Wines at Wesley Anne, and finish with Tillie J Wines at Zsa’s Bar.

This year’s North Melbourne lineup pairs some of the area’s favourite venues with exceptional wineries from across Australia. Enjoy Good Vibes Wine Co. at Bar Mercado, Young Tree Wines at Bear’s Wine Bar, Pool Wines at Benchwarmer, Vino Intrepido at Bobbie Peels, Werkstatt Wine at Brick Lane Market, Thick As Thieves Wines at Central Club Hotel, Alpha Box & Dice from South Australia at The Courthouse, and Merriworth Wines from Tasmania at The Leveson.

Then there is the Ballarat lineup, which features an exciting mix of venues and winemakers, each pairing bringing its own flavour to the experience across heritage and historic city spots. Head to Aunty Jacks with Chepstowe Vineyard, Craig’s Royal Hotel with Good Vibes Wine Co., Ellington’s Wine Bar with Clarnette Wines, Grainery Lane with Best’s Wines, Midtown Cellars and Bar with DACK Wines, Renard with Garbe Vino, Roy Hammond with BABO Wines from Italy, and The George Hotel with Wangolina from South Australia.
