Ballarat buskers call-out for annual Spring festival

Want to share your talents to crowds of thousands in Ballarat this SpirngFest?

The annual SpringFest finds it way back to Ballarat this season and they are after performers and artists to join their massive event. The Rotary Club of Ballarat led festival celebrates two massive milestones, as the Rotary Club hits triple digits and the festival itself hits 30 years, with this years program proving to be a big one, and they’re wanting the community to be involved.

Applications are now open for Ballarat buskers to join the SpringFest Ballarat major highlight, the Market Sunday, on Sunday 30th November. Running from 10am until 4pm across Lake Wendouree Garden Precinct, the festival is calling on performers, artists and entertainers to inject infectious fun into the festival offering.

From musicians to magic, juggling, street art, roaming performances, hoola-hooping and more, the festival are on the hunt for talented acts to add to their already giant program. The festival is particularly focused on local Ballarat talent to spotlight this year.

Since 1994, SpringFest has been a beloved highlight on the city’s events calendar, and in this special anniversary year, it promises to be bigger, brighter, and more community-focused than ever, particularly on the Market Sunday front. With over 450 stalls to explore, delicious food, local artisans, live music, and family fun – there’s something for everyone activating Wendouree Parade from Hamilton Avenue to St Aidans Drive. Whether you’re looking for unique gifts, tasty treats or just to soak in the festive atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed.

SpringFest also boast the Show N Glow component, which brings together an impressive collection of vintage, classic, and custom vehicles at the Gardens Precinct on the same day. Leading into the big day, SpringFest will launch their online raffle next Thursday 11 September, and on Thursday 16 October fan favourite, Harness Racing Night, returns. The SpringFest Harness Racing Night combines thrilling on-track action with a relaxed social atmosphere at Bray Raceway.
