Geelong Comic and Toy Fair is a field day for collectors

Whether you're dedicated to DC, Marvel mad, an Archie adorer or something in between, this pop-up event has a bit of everything.

An honouring of heroes, a collision of capes, a showcase of strips, and a proud celebration of pop culture is coming to Geelong’s north this month.

Geelong Comic and Toy Fair loads into Norlane ARC Auditorium on Sunday 26 October, bringing together hunters, collectors (not of the Mark Seymour division), and enthusiasts of graphic novels, comic books, toys and treasures. From fandoms to casual followers, this fair has a find for everyone. You might even discover something more special than a sealed story.

Cost: $5 entry, kids under 12 free

The fifth edition since the event’s inception in March of 2024, the Geelong Comic and Toy Fair has expanded for the October offering. The new home of Norlane ARC Auditorium allows for more visitors and even more stall holders. For the upcoming event, there will be a whopping 47 vendors on site, spread over 81 tables with stock selections including comics and toys (as the title suggests) including new, classic, vintage, and even some rarities. You’ll also browse through trading cards in sport, Pokémon, pop culture, find the fun shelf collectable of Funko Pops, a mega range of Manga, and even video games. Nintendo, PlayStation, Switch – whatever your console choice, there’s likely an item for you. In addition, you will find arts & crafts stalls, vintage movie posters, and so much more on the take home offering.

The Geelong Comic and Toy Fair is so much more than a market, with a vision to champion the creative community. Independent comic creators and independent artists will be showcasing their works as well. You might just find the next Stan Lee in the midst!

Geelong Comic and Toy Fair goes beyond the stalls and the showcases, fostering a vibrant inclusive community of pop culture enthusiasts. On average the event sees 75% of patrons from the Geelong area, with patronage having grown 370% since their first fair – a mammoth effort for the underdog! Connect with fandoms, discuss your favourite franchise, forge alliances, find your super team or your sidekick. Geelong Comic and Toy Fair has designed its experience to ensure that “every hero, villain, and sidekick belongs”.

With a $5 entry fee, and children under the age of 12 free, this a great family-friendly activity, nurturing the next generation of comic book readers.
