More artists have been added to Melbourne Bluesfest lineup for April

Happening in Melbourne for the first time ever, the festival will play host to some of the best local and international talent.

If you’re already excited about Melbournes’s first-ever Bluesfest spinoff, then you’ll be more excited now. The two-day festival has added even more artists to its 2023 lineup.

John Butler, Russell Morris, Frank Sultana, Rod Paine and Karen Lee Andrews have joined the roster for the opening day of festivities on April 8. Kee’ahn, an award-winning young Indigenous artist and Kuku Yalanji, Jirrbal, Zenadh Kes song woman, is set to grace the state on both days of the event.

Before jetting off on his first solo North American tour, John Butler will dazzle Melbourne with some gems from his days in the trio as well as his personal work.

Best known for penning one of the most iconic Australian tracks of the ’60s, The Real Thing, Russell Morris will play a set that’s expected to be full of surprises.

The addition of these new talented and diverse artists rounds out what was already an impressive lineup.

An off-shoot of the ever-popular Byron Bay Bluesfest, this will be the inaugural run of the Melbourne event and will be taking place during Easter weekend at the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The indoor, all-weather event will feature unmatched musical performances, food and drink options and entertainment for the whole family.
