Piccadilly Summer Series takes over Little Creatures Brewing this month

A month of Thursdays with makers, music, drinks and summer vibes at Little Creatures.

After a standout winter showing, Piccadilly Market is back and scaling up for summer with the launch of the Piccadilly at Little Creatures Summer Series. Taking over Little Creatures Brewery in South Geelong every Thursday throughout January, the twilight market promises warm evenings filled with local makers, good food, cold drinks and a laid-back coastal vibe that suits the season perfectly.

Having kicked off at the top of the month on New Year’s Day on Thursday 1 January, the series has already been a welcome addition to the brick brewhouse corridors and will continue to be resident throughout the month.

Running from 4pm to 8pm on January 8, 15, 22 and 29, the Summer Series features more than 45 stallholders spread across the brewery’s indoor spaces and iconic laneways. Visitors are invited to wander at their own pace, shop from a diverse lineup of creatives and producers, enjoy a meal in the Main Hall, or settle in with a beer brewed just metres away while soaking up the summer atmosphere.

The stallholder lineup is a strong mix of handmade, homegrown and delicious. Shoppers can browse jewellery, art and design from the likes of Headrush Jewellery, Jessica Mitchell Creative, Lilith & The Machine, Sandra Andersen, Tracy Chandler, This Design and DB Designs. Fashion and lifestyle lovers will find plenty to explore with Dolly Jean Boutique, Little Fox Boutique, Mimmimoo Designs, Bluyonda Silk Scarfs, Atelier Q’3, Finch and Fae, Lovecraft Industries and Wild Woodland Warrior.

There is no shortage of gourmet goodies either, with stalls including Brownie Market, Byron Nuts, Crunchy Bite Freeze Dried Snacks and Sweets, Nomad Chilli Co, Garlic Essentials, Spicify, Farm Balm and Mylk & Butter. Sweet treats are well covered with favourites like Waff A Lot, Lisa Bakes and I.F.E Delights by Naz Ice Screams, perfect for finishing the night on a high note.

Drink offerings add another layer to the experience, featuring Great Ocean Road Gin, Danny Boy Distillery, Hobsons Distillery, Cheeky Rascals Cider and Coco Loco Alcoholic Coconut Water, alongside the full Little Creatures bar. Books, gifts and curios round out the mix, with stalls such as Geoff Davis Books, Story Time Crochet, Wayward Witch, Best in Show Photography and Artzzy Jazzy adding to the market’s eclectic feel.

The market has been designed as an easy, welcoming midweek outing, with free entry, plenty of parking and dogs welcome in outdoor areas. While savoury food trucks will not be part of the event, the brewery’s Main Hall will be serving meals throughout the evening.

Set against the backdrop of one of Geelong’s most-loved venues, the Piccadilly at Little Creatures Summer Series shapes up as a summer essential, offering a relaxed way to support local makers, catch up with friends and make the most of long January evenings.
