City of Greater Geelong have announced the official live viewing site for the AFL Grand Final this Saturday 27 September. With our home team of the Geelong Cats playing off against Brisbane Lions, the Geelong waterfront will be the spot to watch the game as Eastern Beach Reserve brings in the big screen.
Kicking off from midday, fans are set to flock to the waterfront location to nab the best viewing spot.

Whether you’re a diehard fan or simply want to support your towns team, viewers are encouraged to wear their colours and be loud and proud for the mighty Cats. Bring a picnic blanket, rugs, chairs, and snacks, and get ready to cheer for every goal.
Enjoy the preshow entertainment by hip hops finest, Snoop Dogg. Having appeared at the Super Bowl Half Time show, Snoop sure will have the crowd buzzing with his biggest hits ‘Gin and Juice’, ‘Young Wild & Free’ and ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’. He will be joined by a lineup of Australian talent including Tash Sultana, who will perform in Snoop Dogg’s band and is expected to showcase a “show-stopping guitar performance.” Fellow singer and rapper, Baker Boy, will be jumping up and is set to perform with a powerful choir of Indigenous artists such as Emma Donovan and Kee’ahn while promoting his upcoming album, DJANDJAY.
On National Anthem duties is Vera Blue. Her heavenly voice will leave jaws dropped while AFL anthems will continue the major events traditions with musician Mike Brady AM returning to the field with his traditional footy anthems, ‘Up There Cazaly’, about the 1910s St Kilda and 1920s South Melbourne player Roy Cazaly, and ‘One Day In September’.
That’s all before the ball drop! The Pavilion Geelong will be open for service but if you don’t want to miss a second of footy fever bring your own food. Note, this is a family-friend alcohol free event.
