Prince Has Passed Away Aged 57

After recently visiting our shores for his Piano & a Microphone tour, Prince has sadly passed away aged 57.

The music legend was currently touring his show overseas, when he fell ill with a flu. He was being treated for the illness, with a short stint in hospital.

His publicist broke the news: “It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning,” publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said.

Prince was an artist who continually fought for creative freedom in the industry, and made his fame with his 1984 release Purple Rain. He acted in a movie of the same name, and soon forever became referenced to purple.
