Shake those winter blues away next weekend!

Following two months of steaming hot shows in June and July, Torquay Hotel keep the heat high as August rounds the bend with an anniversary show from The Preatures.

Reuniting for a 15-date tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their ground-breaking debut album, Blue Planet Eyes, The Preatures sure know how to start a party. The Sydney band, led by firecracker frontwoman Isabella Manfredi, will perform the album in its entirety, along with a collection of their much-loved hits, on their upcoming ‘Blue Planet Eyes’ 10th Anniversary Tour.

Expect ‘Is This How You Feel?’, ‘Better Than It Ever Could Be’ and ‘Somebody’s Talking’, the songs that shaped the sound of Australian music in 2014, amongst other hits from their collection. With timeless blends of edgy pop rock meets R&B and country, The Preatures distinct sound brought them widespread acclaim. It’s infectious and undeniably smooth, ready to turn legs into shakers at the Torquay Hotel.

June saw three giant tours hit the coastal music hub, kicking off with Naarm electronic duo, 6 Sense, American alt-indie songwriter Soccer Mommy made her stamp in her Australian return playing belters like ‘circle the drain’ to determined surf coast fans, and Pete Murray brought his acoustic solo show out to the dreamy town. The sing-alongs for ‘Opportunity’ and ‘Better Days’ blew away the winter bite.

Legends of Australian music filtered into July, led by The Angels at the top of the month. A rivalry riot hit the following night with Sydney’s OOTS & MASSI battling it out on the Great Ocean Road. Another legend of Australian music, soundtracking every graduation ceremony since 2001, the ‘amazing’ Alex Lloyd hit the Torquay stage in an uplifting evening of song, while OneFour capped the calendar this weekend gone with a high energy explosion.

The rest of 2025 sees Torquay Hotel host a Bell Street Hoedown, Jackson Dean, Ben Lee, Illy, No Cigar, Tropical F*ck Storm, Boom Crash Orchestra and Sly Withers.
