Music Victoria has launched a new Regional Members’ Desk, a free, bookable workspace created to support regional artists, managers and music workers while they are in Melbourne.
The initiative is designed to address the practical challenges that often come with working regionally, particularly when travelling to Melbourne for meetings, writing sessions, shows, grant applications, administration or industry catch-ups. Available to Music Victoria Essentials members and above, the Regional Members’ Desk provides a dedicated, reliable place to work for a few hours during city visits.
When: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Where: Music Victoria Offices, Collingwood Yards – The Lock Building, 1/35 Johnston St, Collingwood

The desk can be booked during Music Victoria office hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, by prior appointment. It can be used for a range of purposes including grant writing, meeting preparation, emails and admin, project planning, connecting with the Music Victoria team, or simply as a base between sessions or shows.
The Regional Members’ Desk is located at Music Victoria’s offices within Collingwood Yards, a well-known creative precinct in Melbourne’s inner north that is home to artists, studios and cultural organisations. The office sits within The Lock Building, offering a calm and professional workspace in close proximity to live music venues, rehearsal spaces and public transport. Accessibility information for the building is available through Music Victoria.
The Regional Members’ Desk forms part of Music Victoria’s broader commitment to improving access, equity and support for regional music communities across Victoria.
