Lorna Shore are heading to Australia with a colossal lineup of loud talent

The band were recently here for a 2025 sold out tour and a mammoth Good Things set.

New Jersey deathcore juggernaut Lorna Shore will make a thunderous return to Australia this October, locking in their biggest headline run down under to date while also announcing their first-ever New Zealand performances. Joining them across the Australian leg are Tennessee heavyweights Whitechapel, with Massachusetts chaos merchants The Acacia Strain supporting the entire tour. New Zealand’s own Organectomy will open the Auckland and Wellington dates.

Kicking off in Melbourne on Friday 16 October, the arena run will tear through Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane before crossing the Tasman for performances in Wellington and Auckland. For a band whose rise has been fuelled by equal parts brutality and theatricality, the 2026 tour marks another milestone in Lorna Shore’s relentless ascent.

Over the past 15 years, the New Jersey outfit have reshaped the modern deathcore landscape, balancing unrelenting heaviness with sweeping cinematic scope. From the crushing impact of Immortal through to the breakout success of …And I Return To Nothingness, the band’s evolution, alongside the astonishing vocal range of frontman Will Ramos, has seen them transcend cult status and emerge as one of heavy music’s most formidable contemporary forces. Their latest record, I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me, pushes that ambition even further, pairing ferocity with haunting grandeur in a way few bands can rival.

Their Australian reputation has become equally formidable. Following a completely sold-out headline run in early 2025 and a blistering return for Good Things Festival later that year, Lorna Shore have built a fierce connection with local audiences. Critics have praised the band’s live performances as overwhelming displays of precision and chaos, delivering sets that feel less like concerts and more like total sensory assaults.

Adding further weight to the tour is Whitechapel, pioneers of the genre whose influence stretches across nearly two decades of extreme music. Since forming in Knoxville in 2006, the band have continually expanded their sound while maintaining the savage intensity that first defined them. With nine studio albums to their name, including 2025’s Hymns in Dissonance, their live reputation remains unmatched: punishing, immersive and utterly uncompromising.

Meanwhile, The Acacia Strain arrive armed with more than 20 years of sonic devastation behind them. Blurring the lines between deathcore, sludge, hardcore and metalcore, the Massachusetts veterans continue to thrive on sheer destructive force. Their acclaimed 2025 release You Are Safe From God Here only sharpened their reputation for crafting music that is as crushing as it is atmospheric, while their live show remains a masterclass in controlled chaos.

For fans of extreme music, this is shaping as one of 2026’s most punishing touring line-ups. With cavernous riffs, apocalyptic intensity and some of the genre’s most commanding live acts converging for one massive run, Lorna Shore’s return promises to be nothing short of colossal.
