Foreverafter is a new touring live music event bringing together some of the most influential names in Australian and New Zealand electronic and indie dance music for a series of large-scale shows in January 2027 across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Curated by The Presets, the event will see them co-headline alongside Cut Copy and Ladyhawke. Across the three-city run, the line-up expands with DJ sets from Bag Raiders and Bang Gang DJs, as well as a set from FUKHED, creating a programme that spans early-2000s electro-pop breakthroughs through to contemporary club sounds.

Foreverafter will take place at three major outdoor and performance venues: Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Sydney’s Carriageworks and Brisbane’s Riverstage. Each location is positioned to accommodate large audiences and immersive live production, reinforcing the scale of the event as both a concert series and a shared cultural moment. The shows are scheduled across consecutive weekends in January, with Melbourne on 17 January, Sydney on 23 January and Brisbane on 30 January.
Rather than operating as a traditional multi-artist festival, Foreverafter is framed as a curated touring experience built around a specific musical lineage. The project draws together artists whose careers have often intersected through shared labels, touring circuits and club culture, particularly the Modular Records era that helped define a distinct period in Australian electronic music. The result is a line-up that functions less as a snapshot of a single genre and more as a reflection of a connected creative scene that has continued to evolve over two decades.
At the centre of the event are The Presets, whose catalogue and live reputation have long positioned them as one of Australia’s defining electronic acts. Their involvement as curators and co-headliners anchors the project, while Cut Copy bring a parallel history of global touring and melodic, synth-driven dance music that has resonated across both indie and club spaces. Ladyhawke adds a complementary pop dimension, her early releases becoming international touchpoints for electro-pop in the late 2000s.
Supporting DJ sets from Bag Raiders and Bang Gang DJs extend that lineage into club culture, reflecting a period when Australian electronic acts were increasingly moving between festival main stages and underground dancefloors. Bag Raiders’ catalogue includes global streaming success and enduring club staples, while Bang Gang DJs represent a longer-standing collective influence on Australian nightlife and electroclash-era aesthetics. FUKHED introduces a newer generation of electronic production, with a sound rooted in harder, more contemporary techno and high-intensity club environments, providing a counterpoint to the nostalgia embedded elsewhere in the bill.
For The Presets’ Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes, the concept behind Foreverafter grew from years of shared history with many of the artists involved. They described the event as something that had been discussed informally over time, eventually crystallising into a touring format that prioritises collaboration and shared experience. Their framing positions the event as a continuation of long-running creative relationships rather than a reunion constructed purely for nostalgia.
Cut Copy’s Dan Whitford has similarly reflected on the formative nature of that era, when a relatively small but globally influential Australian electronic scene began to emerge. Ladyhawke has also described the line-up as both a reunion and an expansion, noting the inclusion of newer artists alongside familiar collaborators.
Behind the scenes, the project is presented by Frontier Touring, with Sahara Herald overseeing its development. Herald has long-standing experience within Australia’s live music landscape, including work during the Big Day Out era, when many of these artists first gained significant exposure on major festival stages. The involvement of Frontier Touring underscores the scale of the project, as well as its positioning within Australia’s broader live music circuit.
Across its three-city run, Foreverafter brings together artists whose work has helped shape the sound of Australian electronic music on both domestic and international stages. While each act arrives with its own distinct catalogue and history, the event positions them within a shared framework, highlighting the intersections between indie dance, electro-pop and contemporary club culture.
