Astrid Armstrong ready to serenade surf club this weekend

While others will be saying "should have been higher" for the triple j hottest 100, Armstrong will be sending audiences higher with her live performance

Vocal flyer Astrid Armstrong is ready to unleash her performance prowess on the Bellarine this weekend. Taking to Pt Lonsdale Surf Club this Saturday 24 January, the local powerhouse singer songwriter is ready to take audiences into the evening with a sun-soaked serenade.

The ideal way to tap into the long weekend energy, where music is on the agenda across the region thanks to the Festival of Sails and triple j hottest 100 listening parties, Armstrong knows how to set the scene. Kicking off from 6pm, the singer will take audiences through her repertoire of hits alongside her righthand man Oscar Rose. Both Armstrong and Rose have built strong names in the local scene as masters of their instrument; Armstrong for her pipes and Rose for his piano playing. Combined the two have a distinct dynamic that brings big ballads and lively anthems to life with rnb and soul at the core.

This is the second weekend in a row that the two will take over the relaxed Pt Lonsdale Surf Club spot, having treated members and visitors to song on Thursday 15 January.

In addition, the night will see a special guest join the bill, with another local music maker Jimi Hocking jumping up!

This time you’ll also be able to indulge with some pillow soft boa buns from chubby bao.
