One of the most unforgettable voices of the 1980s and a force across the decades since, Carlisle will take audiences on a full-circle musical journey — from her era-defining solo career (“Heaven Is a Place on Earth”, “Leave a Light On”, “Mad About You”) all the way back to her trailblazing beginnings as frontwoman of pioneering all-female band The Go-Go’s.
Carlisle’s relationship with Australia has long been a mutual love story, with her catalogue becoming woven into the soundtrack of multiple generations. This final tour is set to be both a celebration and a heartfelt goodbye.
“Australia has always held such a special place in my heart,” Carlisle shares. “The fans here have supported me from the very beginning, so this tour will be one big thank-you — a celebration of the music, memories and magic we’ve shared.”
The Go-Go’s saw Carlisle’s career catapult, with the group remaining the most successful all female rock band of all time. Their debut albums Beauty and the Beat topped the US Billboard 200 chart for six consecutive weeks and their hits ‘Our Lips Are Sealed’, ‘We Got The Beat’, ‘Vacation’ and ‘Head Over Heels’ defined an era, whilst continued to be big songs decades later. In her solo endeavour, Carlisle released eight albums across a nearly 40 year stint, becoming a multi-platinum artist in her own right. ‘Heaven Is A Place On Earth’, ‘Mad About You’, ‘Leave A Light On’, and ‘Summer Rain’ built her a name as one of the biggest pop stars of the late 80’s and 90’s.
Belinda Carlisle’s farewell is more than a tour — it’s the closing chapter of a cherished connection with her Australian audience, and a final chance to experience a true pop legend in full flight.
