Known for “a voice like complex coffee,” Hunt captured hearts across the 2025 National Celtic Folk Festival and now brings her magnetic stage presence Down Under. Accompanied by San Diego’s Jules Stewart on drums and vocals, the duo delivers rich harmonies and storytelling that has drawn comparisons to The Indigo Girls and Brandi Carlile, described as “the bi-continental queer folk duo you didn’t know you needed in your life.”
Across two solo albums and a live EP, Hunt has forged a name as one of the most compelling songwriters in Ireland. Her work has drawn close comparisons to Tracy Chapman and Merchant, earning her performance slots alongside the likes of U2, Glen Hansard, along with opening for Gladys Knight and Mary Black. Her Folk Alliance International 2024 showcase was a head turner, and her Port Fairy Folk Festival debut made her a favourite on our shores.
Expect a night of soaring vocals, heartfelt narratives, and electrifying chemistry as Hunt and Stewart perform selections from Hunt’s two solo albums and new live EP, alongside special guest artist, Lucy Wise. Wise is a multi award-winning Australian singer-songwriter blending acoustic folk, roots and pop, whose heartfelt songwriting, intricate guitar work and warm stage presence have seen her tour internationally and earn major industry accolades.
This intimate Geelong performance is the only chance to see Hunt amid her Australian tour and before the festival launch in Portarlington this June. Doors open tonight. The magic starts early and seats are limited.
