Genesis Owusu joins Spilt Milk lineup. Set times revealed tomorrow

The heavyweight hip hop artists joins Kendrick Lamar, Doechii, Sara Landry, Dominic Fike and ScHoolboy Q.

Spilt Milk just scored a massive last-minute power-up, with genre-bending trailblazer Genesis Owusu jumping onto the lineup ahead of next month’s four-date festival sprint.

The ARIA-winning dynamo joins an already heaving bill headlined by none other than Kendrick Lamar, adding even more heat to a run that’s already seen three shows sell out. Perth remains the final stop with any tickets left—emphasis on limited.

Festival diehards can get planning, too. Spilt Milk will drop set times tomorrow, 25 November, via the official festival app—brought to life by American Apparel—which conveniently bundles site maps, safety tools and all the must-know details for every stop on the tour.

Genesis Owusu’s arrival is a delicious curveball. Known for fusing hip-hop, funk, punk and soul into something entirely his own, he’ll be bringing the energy of his latest tracks, Pirate Radio and Death Cult Zombie, to the stage. It follows a huge few months that included buzzy residencies in Sydney and Melbourne, plus a Harvest Rock performance that had the crowd and critics equally enthralled.

Indie-pop rising star Lotte Gallagher is also stepping into the Spilt Milk universe this summer, making her festival debut in Ballarat as she jumps onto the bill in place of Larissa Lambert. It’s all part of Spilt Milk’s four-city sprint through December, kicking off in Ballarat on 6 December before the caravan rolls into Perth, Canberra and the Gold Coast.

Because Spilt Milk is never just about the main stages, the festival is unleashing a hefty lineup of extra experiences to fuel the chaos in the best way possible. Smirnoff Guilty Pleasures with Levins is back for Ballarat and the Gold Coast, ensuring dance-floor throwbacks remain a cornerstone of the party, while White Claw presents The Shore Club makes its debut in Perth and Canberra with a breezy open-air setup.

Ballarat and Gold Coast punters can keep an ear out for surprise pop-up sets at the Red Bull Capsule, while the Rimmel London double-decker bus returns, serving free makeovers and goodies all day long. Canberra joins the fun with a themed Howdy Howdy country bar, and both Canberra and Perth will host Bus Da Move, where DJs take your requests and absolutely run with them.

Hydration—and celebration—come courtesy of Red Bull, Smirnoff, White Claw, Coopers and Nescafe, keeping festival-goers sorted at every stop.

This year’s artist spread is stacked: Doechii, Sara Landry, Dominic Fike and Schoolboy Q lead the charge, with each city fleshed out by its own curated roster of local talent. Ballarat showcases Isgwan, Lewis Love, Party McCarty, Ruby Lou and Tom Nethersole. Perth brings Don Darkoe, Namesake and Spici Water. Canberra spotlights Eldest, Smartcasual, Sonic Reducer and Sophie Edwards. And the Gold Coast delivers Ixaras, JJ4K, Kessin, Sadboy and Shimmy.

Spilt Milk was already shaping up to be one of the biggest festivals of the summer. Now? Consider the bar officially raised.
