ThornBird

When: WED 18 FEB

Where: Theatre Royal Castlemaine VIC

ThornBird is the electrifying solo project of Vikki Thorn. With a voice honed over three decades at the heart of The Waifs, Australia’s iconic globally touring folk-rock band, ThornBird emerges as a bold new force on the global stage. Her debut self-titled solo album (2022) drew critical acclaim, earning nominations for both an ARIA and a WAMI Award for Best Blues and Roots Album.

The Grogans

When: FRI 20 FEB

Where: Barwon Heads Hotel, Barwon Heads

Following the release of the band’s fifth album Stagger, The Grogans are heading on their most extensive Regional Australian tour to date. Tackling places they haven’t been before, alongside a few shows in towns they haven’t played in years. Presented by triple j, Lonely Lands Agency, UNIFIED Music Group, the rockers head to the Bellarine with support from Bean Magazine.

Dallas Crane

Nicolas Cage Fighter

When: SAT 28 FEB

Where: Volta, Ballarat

Ballarat heavy hitters Nicolas Cage Fighter return to their hometown with a brutal live set at Volta. Harassed the heavy, having supported the likes of Thy Art Is Murder, BleedingThrough, and Deez Nuts, the band are ready to unleash their wrath. The metal-driven hardcore outfit is joined by Slowburn, No Hope, Detestor and Knifepoint, for a stacked night of riffs, breakdowns and high-impact pit energy.

Portal Gun

When: FRI 6 FEB

Where: Bells Beach Brewing Co, Torquay

Portal Gun launch their new single “Speak to Space” at the Bells Beach Brewing Co taproom, celebrating a bold new chapter ahead of their psychedelic third album. Known for blending groove-driven rhythms with cosmic themes, the trio bring their immersive live show following festival appearances and the release of 2024’s Elevation Station.

The Ocelots 

When: SUN 15 FEB

Where: Shedshaker Taproom, Castelamine

Blood harmonies are the centre of The Ocelots’ sound – imperfections of a voice breaking or a tempo shifting. The Irish twin brothers blend absurdity and sincerity in an array of literature-inspired musings. Open tunings and clawhammer banjo bring country-folk contemplation, but the imagery is very much urban, living outside of the romanticised glaze of wood cabins and cottage-core nostalgia.

Joined by his son Finojet, Xavier delivers an intimate, soul-stirring show rooted in rhythm, spirit, and heart, exploring love, earth, and release while celebrating the songs that have moved audiences worldwide.
