Victoria’s largest annual folk music appreciation event, Port Fairy Folk Festival has just dropped a second wave of artists for the 2026 event, adding an exciting and diverse collection of local and international talent to the 49th Festival line up.
The seaside event will welcome folk icon and founding member of Old Crow Medicine Show, Willie Watson, traditional Celtic meet contemporary creation of Canada’s Inn Echo, and Australian beloved singer/songwriter and country music legend, Kasey Chambers.

Just shy of their half century celebrations as one of Australia’s longest running and most beloved music festivals, Port Fairy is putting in the power for their 2026 artist lineup. It features a list of emerging, cemented, benchmark and legacy folk acts from around the globe.
Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director Justin Rudge said the four-day weekend promises to be filled with unmissable moments of world-class music.
“For the 49th Festival, we’re excited to be presenting a program of wishlist artists from all around the world. From international stars Iron & Wine, Willie Watson, Rainbow Girls and The Swell Season to local legends Kasey Chambers, Emma Donovan and Darren Hanlon, there really is something for every folk music lover.
“We encourage fans and Folkies to secure their tickets and accommodation early as tens of thousands of music lovers will descend upon Port Fairy come Labour Day long weekend!” says Justin.
The announcement includes Canadian folk duo Basset, Melbourne alt-country outfit, The Cartridge Family, mesmerising English singer/songwriter Chloe Foy and ground-breaking rising star who fuses contemporary folk, hip hop and R&B, GK.
From the US, joining Willie Watson is acclaimed American songwriter known for his poetic lyricism, rugged folk sound and captivating live shows, Jeffrey Matin, eclectic Californian trio, Rainbow Girls.
The lineup further boasts, Dan Webster & Emily Lawler, Darren Hanlon, The Gathering, Kankawa Nagarra, Kris Mizzi, Lloyd Spiegel Trio, and Robbie Cavanagh. They join the already announced talent of Iron & Wine, The Swell Season, Windborne, Pierce Brothers and more.
The Port Fairy Folk Festival runs across the Labour Day long weekend, 6-9 March 2026, in the coastal town of Port Fairy, regional Victoria and promises another unforgettable program celebrating the best in folk and roots music from across the globe.
