Park Waves has been cancelled

The inaugural Australian festival from metal behemoths, Parkway Drive, will not longer go ahead.

In devastating news for the Australian metal community, Park Waves Festival has been cancelled.

Announced via the official Instagram of the festival, Winston McCall, along with the Parkway Drive team, Park Waves team and festival promoter Destroy All Lines issued the following statement:

“We’re devastated to confirm the Park Waves Festival Australian tour will not go ahead. The cancellation is due to a combination of challenges, and ultimately, the numbers no longer stack up. With a heavy heart, we’ve had to make a difficult decision. We’ve tried everything. We’re gutted.”

It continues, “We know everyone will be understandably disappointed. The ticket price and booking fees will be refunded, and more information will be sent to ticketholders via email. To anyone who bought tickets, and to everyone who keeps showing up for live music – thank you.”

The festival was designed by the Parkway Drive team following the success of their European trial in Germany. Due to take to Perth, Adelaide, Geelong, Scoresby, Bendigo, Wollongong, Eastern Creek, Maitland, Toowoomba, Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast across February and March of 2026, the touring festival was created to be a showcase of the lively Australian metal scene, reactivating regional festival touring on a large scale.

With a lineup spearheaded by Parkway Drive and featuring Australian and international metal-makers The Amity Affliction, Northlane, Alpha Wolf, and Story of the Year with more locals to be announced as the dates grew closer, the festival was to be a celebration of the world-class metal scene in Australia.

Tickets and booking fees will be refunded, with more information coming via email for ticketholders.
