Continuing the Festival’s tradition of celebrating local artists and supporting musicians from across the country, the March long weekend will see Briscoe Sisters, Charm of Finches, our Bellarine ARIA-nominated treasures, Checkerboard Lounge, David Arden, Don Walker, Flynn Gurry, Hat Fitz & Cara, Jad Pinnone, Jeff Lang, Jordie Lane, La Mauvaise Reputation and Nick Charles taking to the Port Fairy stages.
They join an already overflowing lineup of talent headed by new ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Missy Higgins, Peter Garrett and the Alter Egos, Kutcha Edwards, The Brother Brothers and The East Pointers.
Port Fairy Folk Festival is also renowned for its incredible special events with 2025 no exception. A popular duck in during the Port Fairy Festival weekend is the On The Couch series, hosted by Rockwiz legend Brian Nankervis. Another special event will see South West Victoria’s finest Find Your Voice Collective return to sing the songs of Joe Cocker, and festival partners The Boite will also be back for a special Sunday night event featuring music from around the world.
Justin Rudge, Program Director for the Port Fairy Folk Festival highlighted the Folkie’s strength and longevity as a major drawcard to audiences.
“We have audience members who have been coming to the Folkie since 1977! They brought their kids, and now those children have grown up and are bringing their own kids along. Port Fairy Folk Festival is a beautiful and wide-spanning multi-generational audience, and the 2025 program really celebrates this.
“From contemporary folk artists to the traditional masters, emerging voices to global touring legends, the next Festival over the March long weekend has something for all ages and music-loving stages of life,” says Rudge.
