Kicking things off in style, The Pearly Shells will light up the gardens with their energetic blend of jump blues, swing jazz, rhythm & blues, and Latin grooves. Known for their irresistible stage presence and toe-tapping tunes, this 7-piece band is guaranteed to get you on your feet and keep you dancing all afternoon.
Get ready to swing with the legends! The Surf Coast Big Band brings a touch of class with their tribute to the golden age of big-band music. Featuring timeless Sinatra classics and hits from Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Ella Fitzgerald, this concert will transport you back to a bygone era of swinging tunes and sharp suits.
Closing the series with soul and style, Melbourne jazz legend Bob Sedergreen and his friends will deliver a masterclass in blues-infused jazz and improvisation. With decades of musical experience, Bob and his talented ensemble will bring the evening to a perfect, soulful close.
Event organiser Callum Watson says the series is all about creating a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. “Music at the Geelong Botanic Gardens is about bringing people together to enjoy great live music in a beautiful public space. Each concert offers something different, but they all share a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere,” he says.
