Released to widespread acclaim, GODSPEED debuted at #4 on the ARIA Australian Album Charts and #9 on the ARIA Vinyl Charts, cementing These New South Whales’ status as one of the most vital punk bands working today. The record has been praised locally and internationally by outlets including triple j, Apple Music, NOVA, Rolling Stone ANZ, Kerrang!, The Line of Best Fit, CLASH and 10 Magazine for its raw, confrontational energy and razor sharp focus.

Produced by Ben Greenberg, whose credits include Depeche Mode, Drab Majesty and Show Me The Body, GODSPEED represents a decisive gear shift for the band. Where previous releases flirted with chaos, this album cuts straight through it. Politically charged yet deeply personal, it bristles with defiance, clarity and a rejection of outside expectation. The mission statement arrives early, with vocalist Jamie Timony bellowing, “The choice is yours / Godspeed,” setting the tone for a record that insists on instinct over influence and noise over compliance.

These New South Whales’ reputation has been forged through relentless touring and an unshakeable connection with their audience. Last year’s live podcast tour celebrating 500 episodes of their cult series What A Great Punk only further solidified their place as a once-in-a-generation Australian punk proposition. Now, they are taking that energy back to venues across the country, launching the tour on March 19 at Solbar in Maroochydore before embarking on a huge 17-show run spanning regional and capital cities.

Victorian fans will have plenty of chances to catch the band live. The GODSPEED tour rolls into Geelong on Friday 1 May at the Barwon Club, followed by a regional stop at Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal on Saturday 2 May. The band then heads to Frankston on Saturday 9 May, playing Pelly Bar, before closing out the Victorian run with a highly anticipated Naarm show at Howler in Melbourne on Saturday 16 May.

Elsewhere on the tour, These New South Whales will hit Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Perth, Bunbury, Margaret River, Tasmania, Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Wollongong, delivering their ferocious live show to audiences across the country. Known for performances that blur the line between catharsis and chaos, this tour is set to be a full-bodied expression of everything GODSPEED stands for.

As a band responding to an increasingly fractured world, These New South Whales offer no neat resolutions. Instead, GODSPEED lives firmly in the present, switched on, fed up and galvanising. It is a reminder that salvation has no blueprint, and that sometimes the loudest, fastest path forward is the most honest one.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday 20 January at 11am AEDT via tnsw.co/tour, with band presales available now through Discord, Patreon and Bandsintown.
