Ty Segall and Freedom Band announce intimate Anglesea show as part of Australian tour

Ty Segall and his colossal Freedom Band have announced their first Australian tour since 2014 alongside new single 'Don't Lie'.

Ty Segall has announced he’ll be touring Australia for the first time since 2014 with his Freedom Band (Emmett Kelly, Mikal Cronin, Ben Boye and Charles Moothart).

Hot on the heels of his new album Hello, Hi, Ty Segall & Freedom Band return with their psyched-out jangle and space-rock fuzz. Ty has today shared new single ‘Don’t Lie’ off his forthcoming album, out July 22 on Drag City.

Famed for his covers, this latest is an acoustic take on beloved Oakland garage-pop band The Mantles, with Segall having played and toured with The Mantles in the Bay Area back in the day.

Hello, Hi follows two releases by Segall; last year’s surprise release of Harmonizer, along with his first-ever feature film score, the soundtrack for Matt Yoka’s documentary Whirlybird, both released via Drag City.
