One of Australia’s most in-demand DJs and producers, Young Franco has built a reputation on joyful, genre-hopping sets that blur the lines between electronic, disco, indie and hip hop. With tracks like Juice, Lose Control and Wake Up becoming crowd staples at festivals and clubs around the world, his headline set promises high-energy grooves and a feel-good soundtrack to kick off the tournament.
The night will warm up with indie dance duo Nite Theory, whose slick, rhythm-forward sound is designed to get bodies moving early. Athlete-turned-DJ Alex Hayes will then step behind the decks to keep the momentum rolling before Young Franco takes the stage.
The event takes place at the Canadian Club Racquet Club, the brand’s now-iconic Australian Open hub perched atop AO Hilltop. Alongside the music, expect ice-cold Canadian Club serves flowing all night, including the refreshing Lemon Crush, as well as prime sunset views and a buzzing summer crowd.
While the launch party is free, tickets are limited and are available via Moshtix. Registering ahead is the only way to guarantee entry to what is shaping up as one of the standout social events of the opening weekend.
Beyond the launch party, the Canadian Club Racquet Club will operate as a free, walk-in destination throughout the Australian Open, running daily from 18 January to 1 February. No match ticket is required, making it an easy meeting point for after-work drinks, pre-match catch-ups or a relaxed afternoon by the river. With live tennis on the big screen, shaded seating, daily DJs and sweeping city views, it remains one of the most accessible and atmospheric ways to soak up the Open without stepping inside the gates.
For tennis fans and music lovers alike, this free Young Franco show sets the tone for a summer where sport, sound and the city come together.
